Naugatuck BoE student representative
The Naugatuck BoE wants student representatives. The BoE is looking for one junior and on senior to serve on the BoE as a student representative. This is an exciting opportunity for you to become civically involved in local government. If you are someone who wants to have a voice in the running of the school system, here is your chance. If you are interested in applying for student representative to the BoE, please stop by the main office and see Mrs. Saam for an application or more information. Mrs. Buckmiller and Mr. Tenney can also answer questions regarding the specifics of this commitment.
NHS students are needed! Some of the elementary school in town would love to have student volunteers. Volunteers are needed for a variety of options including working with younger students, office help, and playground supervision. Wouldn't it be fun to go back to your elementary school as a volunteer! Maybe you even have a younger sibling at the school who would enjoy seeing their big brother or sister volunteering there.
We may be able to arrange transportation to the school at dismissal. Getting home would be on your own. If you are interested, please stop by the career center for more details and to register for open slots. This will qualify for community service credit.
Student Council has distributed food drive boxes to homerooms and the fall food drive has begun! The homeroom that collects the most food by December 3rd will win a special prize!
